Summer Q&A
Answers to Your Questions of Faith
Thank you to everyone who submitted their questions for our Summer
Q&A! It was interesting to see such a wide variety of subjects
covered. In fact, it would take more than one summer to answer
all your questions, so please forgive me if your question did not
make it on the list this year!
It was even more interesting to see how several topics came up
repeatedly. And with those topics in mind, we came up with the
following plan for our time in God’s Word this summer:
June 20th — How do we give glory to God?
Does God really give everyone gifts, talents, and abilities?
How does God expect us to use those gifts? Does only church
work count?
June 27th — Does God still speak?
Has God already said all he has to say, or does he still communicate
with us today? How do we discern His voice and call?
July 4th — How do we know right from wrong?
What are God’s standards and do they change with time and culture?
Are Christians obligated to follow the law of the land?
July 11th — Do we have a choice?
Is everything already determined by God or do humans have freewill
to decide for better or worse? What should God really receive
the credit or blame for?
July 18th — Is Jesus the only way?
Do we really know that Christianity is the only way to God?
What happens to everyone else who follows another faith or no faith
at all?
I look forward to diving into God’s Word this summer and I hope that
you will join us as we explore these questions in worship.
